YOUR PERSONAL DETAILS– What personal details are we collecting from you and WHAT WE DO WITH IT?

Identity information – this is information we use to identify and make sure you are who you claim to be. This includes: name [first, last, initials], Date of Birth, e-mail address, unique consumer number, nickname, password, social media identifiers, and your device fingerprint.

 

Community information – this is information we use to make sure you can make the most out of adidas communities, such as registering for events and participating in events. This includes for example: pictures, videos, your nickname, your team, your interests and preferences, your feedback, leaderboards, event participation, joined groups.

Contact information – this is information we use to reach out to you in order to send you your adidas products, provide you with promotional information, share with you what is happening at adidas, and answer your queries and concerns. This includes for example: phone number, shipping and billing address, e-mail address, Messenger ID, social media name.

 

Location information - this is information we use to make sure we provide you with the most relevant information based on your geographical location. This includes for example: your residential location, current log-in location [IP address], GPS data.

Social Media information – this is information we use to understand you better, in order to build a better relationship with you as an adidas consumer, create products that you will like, and focus our marketing efforts on messages which you will consider helpful and interesting (based on your online behaviour), as well as optimising your social media interactions with adidas and other adidas community members. This includes any social media information that is publicly available such as [but not limited to]: social media handles, social media interactions and postings, your “Likes” and other reactions, your social media connections, your photos. This information is provided to us by the social media network (e.g. Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, etc.) directly or indirectly through agencies we have agreements with.

Size information – this is information we use to make sure your gear fits you just perfectly. This includes for example: shoe size, clothes size, height, weight, chest, waist, hip, inseam, body shape, heel-toe measurement.

Device information – this is information we use to secure our network and improve our services and performances. This includes for example: IP address, date and time of the visit, how long you remained on our website, the referral URL (if you came to our site via a different site or an advertisement), the pages visited on our site, your browser type, device type, versions, operating system.

 

Purchase information – this is information we use to process your order. This includes for example: your shopping cart, payment information (credit card number), payment risk profile, delivery details, shipping and billing address, customer order number, purchase history with adidas.

 

Activity information - this is information we use to help you improve your performance and exercise experiences, and identify what products might be best for you. This includes for example: fitness data (for example workout start and end times, activity type, sports category), sensor data (for example step goal, duration, pace, distance, calories, RunScore and speed), and other data related to your fitness app.

 

Correspondence - this is information we use for quality control purposes, and to make sure we have complied with your requests or legal requirements. This includes for example: recordings of your call to our customer service centre, notes on your Feedback, related call backs, e-mail correspondence with adidas personnel, postal correspondence with adidas personnel.

 

Health information – this is information which relates to your physical or mental condition. We do not collect this type of personal details without informing you and obtaining your consent.

 

 

Behavioural/Profile information – this is information we use to make sure we communicate only information that is relevant to you, provide you with the best adidas deals and offerings which you would be interested in, and to maximise your experience as an adidas member in our online or offline communities. We will store your personal details until you tell us to delete them. If you have been inactive (counting from your last Log-In) for 25 months we will anonymize your personal details.

To deliver first-class experience to you continuously

We evaluate the usage of this mobile app. This is for example done in order to determine the frequency of visits to certain parts of the mobile app, to report crashes and errors or to find out what information and services you are most interested in. These evaluations are carried out anonymously; we do not send any IP addresses or other identifiers to our service provider. You can further deactivate analytics within the settings section of this mobile app.

 

To maintain your products and services

We use your details to maintain your adidas account. Through our global single sign on, you can use the same details to log in anywhere in the world. This also includes maintaining your details as a member of adidas communities around the world. As a non-member, your account will be primarily maintained for the purposes of completing your order; as a member, we will be maintaining your account to complete your orders, maintain your points, organise community events for you, and allow you to have more interactions with adidas as an adidas member. In addition to the identity information you provide to us, if you choose to log in using your social media credentials, we will also have access to your social identifier.

To run, improve and manage our products and services

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal details against accidental, unlawful destruction or accidental loss, alteration, unauthorised use, disclosure or access, in particular where the processing involves the transmission of data, and against all other unlawful forms of processing and misuse.

 

To send you Push Notifications

We use Push-Notifications to keep you up to date and inform you about latest news. We will send you Push Notifications only after you have given your approval to receive them. You can switch off this function any time in the settings section of your phone.

To deliver you special features

Our products have an NFC (Near Field Communication) chip integrated. The chip will not store or process any personal data. The only purpose it has is to provide you with special features such as entry to a special event or access to a venue.
